...The story of a girl in London, England

Day 10: We're walking... We're walking...

Oops. I knew I was really tired, but I didn't know I was THAT tired. I accidently took a four hour nap, from 8:00 to midnight. ... yeahhhh.... Homework? Not so much.

Today was crazy. We got up early so we could at Kew Gardens at 9:45 sharp. Only we got there at 10:00. Which really put my nerves on edge... but not to worry! We got in just fine.

That place is... absolutely amazing. I mean, holy cow.

Thanks to my dear buddy,Rachel Brock, for pictures. (She's amazing).

We saw giant lilly pads, the queens gardens, statues and fountains, rock gardens and waterfalls, creeping vines, greenhouses that were steaming hot, Kew palace, and surrounding little "temples", a many storied pagoda, archways, lakes, huge old trees, sprawling lawns, peacocks, geese, and gigantic flower beds.

It. Was. Amazing.

But gosh our feet hurt afterwards! Still, we had to trapse over to Wimbledone, since we were already out so far in zone 3 of the underground system. So, we took the tube to Wimbledon Park station, got directions, and started walking. We asked at least three people on the way, and they all said to just keep walking. So we did.

And eventually, we found it!! Horray!

And we made friends with the security gaurd.

And then we hopped on a bus because we couldn't walk anymore. I said, "hey, we should try to get home using only the bus system". And so we did. And it was sort of ridiculous. But we made it! And Rachel made friends with a boy named charlie, and we talked to a lady from Australia at a bus stop. So it was a good adventure.

But I swear when we got home I was absolutely COMPLETELY exhausted. So, I fell asleep.
